Dr. Rodgers L. Eckhart
Is a board-certified ophthalmologist and partner at Advanced Eye Care Center. He is involved in the medical and surgical treatment of a wide variety of eye conditions, but he specializes in cataract and refractive cataract procedures. He is passionate about combining cutting-edge technology with a wealth of experience to provide optimal vision for his patients following cataract removal. Dr. Eckhart also has a significant interest in the treatment of dry eye disease, especially how it relates to positive outcomes after refractive procedures and has worked diligently to make Advanced Eye Care Center a dry eye center of excellence. Dr. Eckhart is married and the father of triplets.
Originally from East Texas, Dr. Eckhart obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in 2002 and a medical degree from Texas Tech University in 2007. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Virginia in 2011, where he served as a chief resident in his final year. He joined Advanced Eyecare in 2011 and continues to practice there today.
Dr. Eckhart’s memberships include the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Texas Ophthalmological Association.
