Dr. Ackerman completed his ophthalmology residency at Northwell Health/Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital before pursuing fellowship training in Cornea, External Disease, and Keratorefractive Surgery at the prestigious University of Texas Southwestern. His advanced training has provided him with extensive expertise in diagnosing and treating complex eye conditions while performing state-of-the-art cataract and refractive procedures.
He offers a comprehensive range of vision correction services, including LASIK, PRK, and advanced cataract surgery. By utilizing the latest technology—including premium intraocular lens implants, Toric lenses, and femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery—Dr. Ackerman is committed to helping patients achieve outstanding visual outcomes with greater precision and faster recovery.
Beyond caring for patients, Dr. Ackerman serves as an adjunct clinical professor at the University of Texas Southwestern, where he teaches ophthalmology residents the art and science of cataract surgery.
