PureSee
What is the PureSee Lens?
The Johnson & Johnson PureSee™ IOL is an advanced extended depth of focus (EDOF) intraocular lens designed to provide a continuous range of clear vision after cataract surgery or refractive lens exchange (RLE). Unlike a traditional monofocal lens that focuses at just one distance, the PureSee lens extends your range of vision, helping you see clearly both far away and at intermediate distances.
PureSee is engineered to deliver high-quality vision while preserving contrast sensitivity and minimizing visual disturbances such as halos and glare. Many patients find they can perform everyday activities—like driving, working on a computer, cooking, or shopping—with less dependence on glasses. However, reading glasses may still be needed for very small print or prolonged close-up tasks.
Why Choose The PureSee Lens?
The PureSee lens is designed to provide a more natural visual experience by extending your range of vision while maintaining excellent image quality. Its advanced EDOF technology allows many patients to enjoy greater visual freedom after cataract surgery or refractive lens exchange.
Enhanced Vision
Clear distance and intermediate vision for many everyday activities, including driving, computer use, cooking, and other routine tasks.
Reduced Glasses Dependence
Many patients find they need glasses less often for daily activities after surgery. However, reading glasses may still be helpful for fine print or extended reading.
High-Quality, Natural Vision
Engineered to preserve contrast sensitivity, allowing objects to appear sharp and well-defined in a variety of lighting conditions for a more natural visual experience.
Are you a good candidate?
Is the PureSee right for you?
The PureSee lens may be a great option for patients who want to expand their range of vision after cataract surgery or refractive lens exchange (RLE). During your consultation, your ophthalmologist will evaluate your eye health, lifestyle, and visual goals to determine whether PureSee is the best lens for your individual needs.
You may be a good candidate if you:
- Want excellent distance and intermediate vision for everyday activities.
- Would like to reduce your dependence on glasses after surgery.
- Value high-quality vision with minimal visual disturbances, such as halos and glare.
- Have a healthy retina and cornea without significant eye disease.
- Have realistic expectations about your vision and understand that reading glasses may still be helpful for fine print or prolonged close-up work.
PureSee May Not Be the Best Choice If You:
- Want the greatest possible level of near vision for reading small print without glasses.
- Have certain eye conditions that may affect the performance of premium intraocular lenses.
- Prefer a different lens option based on your lifestyle or visual priorities.
Every patient’s eyes are unique. During your evaluation at Advanced Eye Care Center, we’ll discuss your vision goals and recommend the intraocular lens that best fits your lifestyle and ocular health.
