Meet Dr. Rodgers Eckhart
Originally from East Texas, Dr. Eckhart earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan before receiving his Doctor of Medicine degree from Texas Tech University. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Virginia, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year. Since joining Advanced Eye Care Center in 2011, he has remained committed to providing exceptional medical and surgical eye care to patients throughout North Texas.
Dr. Eckhart specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of a wide variety of eye conditions, with a primary focus on cataract and refractive cataract surgery. He is dedicated to utilizing the latest technology and surgical techniques to provide personalized care and outstanding visual outcomes for every patient.
In addition to his expertise in cataract surgery, Dr. Eckhart has a significant interest in the treatment of dry eye disease, particularly its role in achieving successful refractive surgery outcomes. He has worked diligently to help establish Advanced Eye Care Center as a center of excellence for dry eye care. Dr. Eckhart is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Texas Ophthalmological Association. Outside of his practice, he is married and the proud father of triplets.
